Linwoods Milled Chia Seed - 200g

This latest addition to Linwoods' range is the ancient Chia (Salvia hispanica) seed. Chia seed has more fibre than any other seed in our healthy super foods range and is also a natural source of Omega 3.

Linwoods Milled Chia Seed is 100% chia seed and nothing else, cold-milled for quick and easy absorbtion into the body! Great support for a balanced diet and active lifestyle, Chia Seed goes great with porridge, cereal, yoghurt and fruit, or try sprinkling on salad or stirfry. A great source of fibre, chia seed is vegan, vegetarian, dairy free, GMO free and yeast free!

Why Linwoods Milled Chia Seed?

Protein Power
One heaped dessert spoonful (15g) of Milled Chia Seed provides 3.1g protein. Protein contributes to the growth and maintenance of muscle mass and the maintenance of normal bones.

Oxygen Transport
Chia is a source of iron providing 1mg of iron (7% RDA) per 15g. Iron is important for normal oxygen transport in the body, helping the blood to carry oxygen to every cell. It also contributes to the normal formation of red blood cells and helps reduce tiredness and fatigue.

Blood Cholesterol
Chia is one of nature’s richest plant sources of the Omega 3 fatty acid alpha linolenic acid (ALA), an essential polyunsaturated fatty acid used by the body that contributes to the maintenance of normal blood cholesterol levels. One heaped dessert spoonful (15g) of Linwoods Milled Chia provides 2.9g of ALA.
