It's Friday evening and the Sun's shining...if that's not an excuse for a bit of a party, I don't know what is!! And what's a party without...CAKE!!

Haha...ok, ok, a bit of a tenuous segue into the introduction of *yet another* cake flavour in the Mix but, trust me guys, this is one crazily creamy, smooth and indulgent, uncannily cakey flavour that really...*POPS!* Yep, PEScience 'Amazing Cake Pop' SELECT Protein is in the Mix now!

'Popping' into the Mix (last crap 'pop' pun! Sorry!!) this time last week, every last tub we could get our hands on here in the UK sold-out!!! Why the mad rush for tubs? Well, aside from the sexy name (I mean...a 'Cake Pop' shake?! Gizz!), PEScience have earned themselves pretty legendary flavour-kudos in the Mix over the years and, late to the party though they may be with a Birthday Cake-style flavour, patience tends to be rewarded where they're concerned...indeed Gourmet Vanilla took a couple of years (!!) to perfect and launch (admirably, PES wanted to deliver something special, not just a lazy default) That Gourmet Vanilla, by the way? The all-time bestselling Vanilla shake in the Mix!

We couldn't be happier to report...it's a similar situation here!

No 'me too' about this one...in Cake Pop, prepare yourselves for a deliciously over-the-top dessert experience...no sprinkles (hey...you can always add 'em! We might!), no fruity notes (a la their Strawberry Cheesecake), nope, this one's ALLLLLL about classic soft-scoop ice cream flavour, set atop a buttery, metaphysical cakey base (yes, you really CAN taste the cake! It's surreal!)

From taste-tests our end, this one has divided the audience...some get vanilla, some get coconut... for myself? It lands somewhere between 'vanilla' and 'custard' - maybe a Wall's Cornish Vanilla ice cream w/ a dash of icing sugar? Hmm. Either way, coupled with SELECT's legendary mixed-blend quality, mixability and macros, Cake Pop has enjoyed UNIVERSAL approval so far, and first reviews have been amazing! #TopOfThePops
